NILAI KARAKTER TOLERANSI DALAM MATA PELAJARAN SAINS DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS

The development of a character education assessment framework in science subjects at the secondary school level is essential to provide systematic guidance for science teachers in assessing subjects within the 2013 curriculum under the character education policy. This study aims to develop a character education assessment framework using a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. In the initial phase, data were collected through interviews with fourteen experts using a two-round Delphi method (Czinkota and Ronkainen). In the second phase, the framework was validated by distributing questionnaires to 146 science teachers. In the third phase, the findings were analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency statistics with SPSS V.22.0 and Microsoft Excel. Model testing was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) V.2.0. The final phase of this study revealed that science subjects contain character components, such as love, which are assessed using portfolio instruments, tests, and interviews.
